TENNIS GAMES

Last month in March, third graders and fourth graders enjoyed a recreational outing in the tennis courts in A Caeira.  They shared a memorable experience with other children from other schools.  They had fun and learned loads about team game play.

GARDENING

The Garden area has become in this school term an important educational tool to broaden our knowledge of plants and herbs.  Daily climate observations, preparing the land to sow, planting and cultivation of sprouts and even our very own compost bin have all motivated the children to explore further in this matter.  Children are encouraged to deposit their organic rubbish in our compost which we will later convert into fertilizer for our garden patch. 

BODY VOCABULARY

In our physical education class, we don’t only use our bodies to exercise but we also use our bodies to create vocabulary words in English!

CHRISTMAS CARD CONTEST

We participated in the Christmas Card Contest organized by the township of Poio with eagerness. Despite no prizes, the experience was gratifying. We discovered new artistic techniques and felt proud of our work. Great job kids!

BLACK FRIDAY

Whose says sales are a waste of money? On this Black Friday in our school Chancelas, we invest in learning in a fun and interactive environment.  The students in 4th grade prepared a junk market where they exchanged enthusiasm, effort, and creativitiy while improving their language skills.

PILATES FOR KIDS

The students in 2nd Grade were able to enjoy a Master Class in Pilates, given by two great professionals in this field, both parents of a fellow student.  Putting together music, fun exercises and lots of love, Mariana and Fede had us end the day in a happy note.

HALLOWEEN IN CHANCELAS

In the first term of 2017-2018 we started new projects in English with the entire school.  With the coming of “Halloween” our school was transformed inside and out: bats, ghosts, and zombies wander the hallways, zombie dance routines, and graveyard sunsets take over the entrance.  Everything is focused in enjoying and learning.
